Are you interested in becoming a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) working in long-term care facilities or with 首页 Health Agencies? This program provides a comprehensive exploration of the essential components required by the Texas Department of Health and Human Services. To complete the program and qualify f或者是 certification examination, students must concurrently enroll in both NURA 1001 (96 classroom hours) and NURA 1060 (48 clinical hours). Students must pass a urine drug screen and an additional criminal background prior to enrolling in the course.
Documentation of the following immunizations, titers or tests must be uploaded to your SurScan account prior to registration in the course. Please note that some of these immunizations take up to six months to complete. Immunizations must be started in time to complete the 系列 before the program's start date.

We understand that it is your choice to receive the COVID vaccine; if you choose not to attend your clinical education placement due to a vaccine requirement, we will try to accommodate your request. However, we cannot guarantee you an alternate placement, which may impact your program completion.

- 性能需求: In order to accomplish program outcomes, students must:
- Have visual acuity with/without corrective lenses to identify cyanosis, absence of respiratory movement in patients, 阅读小字.
- Have hearing ability with/without auditory aids to understand the normal speaking voice without viewing the speaker's face and to hear monitor alarms, 紧急的信号, 电话铃声, 还有听诊器的声音.
